5 Website fails that your business might be making

These days, a website for your business is a necessity. It’s no longer a luxury. That’s why almost all the business owners, small or big enterprise, own a user-friendly website to connect with their target audience and ultimately increase the sales.

But they are not successful all the time. Some of their plan doesn’t work out the way they think. There could be a number of reasons for that and today I’m explaining 5 such common website fails so that you know what’s wrong with your site.

Maybe your site isn’t mobile friendly

I have talked about it over and over in my other blog posts.

I don’t know how people can neglect the massive audience who are using mobile phones to browse. And as a matter of fact, the number of mobile phone users is way above desktop users. So you can understand why I’m insisting on mobile-friendly websites.

It’s not only me, Google is also pushing up the mobile optimized search engines on their results. So, if you are not optimizing your site for mobile users, you’ll be missing out a good chunk of to-be-customers, as well as traffic from search engines.

Filled with Jargon

I understand that your industry is a bit technical. Every bit of raw material you use for your products require separate introductions to the general audience. But that doesn’t justify you filling your webpages with the technical chitchats that only your fellow industry experts will understand.

If your website audience sees this much technical stuff on your homepage, he’s more likely to avoid it than get your product. Because he will think your stuff is way too complicated for him and eventually he will start looking for better alternatives.

So, if you don’t want your audience to bounce off your site, then remove the technical bits and explain them in human language.

Not enough content

Where will your customers go when they face any problem?Your website.

And if it is not updated with fresh contents, your audience won’t get what they are looking for.

Sometimes they don’t look for business stuff. They want news about an upcoming product or even just to communicate with you. That’s why your blog page should have all kinds of contents.

Hiding Essential Information

Your audience would like to get some specific business details about you. For example, they might need the address of your business, contact information such as phone number, email address, etc.

You’d think that everyone does that, I mean putting those details on the website, but don’t be surprised if I say you are wrong. There are many business owners out there who don’t have this information on their site and I strongly suggest you don’t be one of them.

Slow Loading

Sometimes people don’t realize how important a fast-loading webpage is for their brand's impression.
Almost nobody sticks to a site that loads slowly. Can you remember the last time when you stayed at a webpage that took literally minutes to load?

No, you don’t remember because you never waited that long for a webpage to load. So, make sure you are not making your audience wait either. Be sure to test your webpages to ensure they load quickly and easily.
